Kele K Kofte


For kofta:

For gravy:

  • 1 onion paste
  • ½ cup beaten curd
  • 2-4 clove
  • 2 bay leaves
  • ½ tsp. cumin seeds
  • a pinch of asafetida
  • 1 tsp. ginger or green chili paste
  • ½ tsp. turmeric
  • ½ tsp. garam masala powder
  • ½ tsp. red chili powder
  • 3 tbsp. oil
  • Required water


  • Boil and peel raw bananas and potato and mash them.
  • Add rest of the ingredients and make balls and deep fry.
  • Heat oil in a kadai, add cloves, bay leaf, cumin, asafetida, ginger green chili and onion paste sauté for 2 min.
  •  Add beaten curd turmeric, garam masala, red chili powder and required water.
  • Add the koftas, simmer for a few min. before serving
  • Garnish with chopped coriander.
